Without wanting to make too bad a judgment on a different guitar, against the Reid Vaultback, a normal price industry guitar would seems as it were the handicraft of a ten-year old child. Extraordinary, unique, far away from any mainstream and artistically valuable. The Vaultback Halo of DAR is a masterpiece of contemporary lutherie – without ifs and buts. Its unbelievable value as a musical instrument competes with its artistic quality. I am honoured to have been allowed to play a guitar that differs so much from anything known and which leaves such an impression. Considering how rare these creations are, how innovative, refined and special, I want to predict that they will also play a prominent role in the future.

Tonally the best guitar I've made! For some time now I've been developing my own bracing inside my guitars. Each time I make one I analyze it and assess what improvements I could make. I think I'm nearing the end of my struggle. In addition to this I have introduced a monitor to my upper bout, the clarity this produces for the 'player' is quite surprising! Something I've always found as an irritation in playing acoustics is not being able to hear the projection of the instrument: problem solved!

This instrument has made me a very happy man. I just had it recorded on the new 'Stackridge' album, (For those of you not familiar with them, they're famous for playing the first ever note at the very first ever Glastonbury festival) and they loved it!

There's a link to Helium records bellow so check out their new album. If you'd like to try this guitar out for yourself, give me a bell.
